Ricky Shelton brings decades of experience as a public servant, executive, and community leader.

• Public Service Leadership: Serving as Mayor of Cookeville, Ricky led with vision and collaboration, strengthening city services, fostering economic development, and advancing regional partnerships. His 16 years in local government built deep expertise in how public policy is shaped and how communities thrive.
   
• Business & Healthcare Strategy: As a healthcare executive and Chief Strategy Officer, Ricky guided one of Tennessee’s leading regional medical centers through growth, change, and long-term planning. His ability to align mission with measurable outcomes remains at the core of his consulting approach.
   
• Community Building: Ricky founded Better Cookeville and created signature initiatives like Red White & BOOM, one of Tennessee’s largest Independence Day celebrations. These projects demonstrate his skill in event strategy, coalition building, and public engagement.
